Squid are gearing up to release their debut record in May and today they've shared a third single, also the album's closer, and it's called "Pamphlets."
This is another gnarly track from the group that capitalizes on their speak-sing-shout vocal approach over sharp, angular guitars, and a furious rhythm section. The build-up here is killer and motorik drum beat helps keep everything together. Once again, this band is showcasing their great songwriting skills and their knack for craft tightly wound rock that is set to burst with extreme passion. There are some stinging synths in the mix too as the band rushes towards the finish with white-knuckle intensity.
