Fuck Buttons - "The Red Wing (Edit)"

Electro-noise duo Fuck Buttons, are set to release their first album since 2009's awesome Tarot Sport. The new record, Slow Focus, is out in July and today the band shared the first single, a radio edit version of "The Red Wing". Fans need not to worry about the term 'radio edit', this is classic Fuck Buttons!

Boards of Canada - "Reach for the Dead"

Finally. After a lot of teases, trailers, and mysterious record samples, it is here. "Reach for the Dead" is the latest single from pioneering IDM Scottish duo, Boards of Canada. Tomorrow's Harvest is out June 11 in the U.S. via Warp, but you can watch the video for the first single now!

Julianna Barwick - "Forever"

On August 20th, Julianna Barwick will release Nepenthe, the follow-up to her gorgeous sophomore record, The Magic Place. In anticipation, Barwick has shared a trailer for the new record which features a new track, "Forever".

Lower - "Another Life"

Danish punks Lower are set to release their debut record this coming fall. In the mean time, they've unleashed another raw pummeling track,"Another Life", which continues to hit hard in all the right places.

Savages - "Shut Up"

Silence Yourself, is the hotly anticipated debut album from London post-punkers Savages. After gaining rave reviews from an impressive EP and their wild live setting, "Shut Up" gives high hopes that more great things are indeed coming from this fiery foursome.

The National - "Demons"

Brooklyn indie-rockers The National are set to release their latest album, Trouble Will Find Me, on May 20th. Today they've shared the first single "Demons" and it seems to continue down the path the National have traveled on all of their releases so far. In other words, it sounds just like the National.

Deerhunter - "Monomania"

Deerhunter are set to release Monomania, the follow-up to the epic Halcyon Digest, on May 7. Check out the title track below and if this is an indication to the rest of the album, we're in for another treat.

Medicine - "Long as the Sun"

On August 6th, American shoegazers Medicine will release their first album (with the full original line-up) in 18 years! The album is called To the Happy Few (artwork above) and you can stream the first single "Long as the Sun" below.

The Appleseed Cast - "Great Lake Derelict"

Emo / post-rock veterans the Appleseed Cast will return on April 23rd with their eight record, Illumination Ritual. Check out the closing track "Great Lake Derelict" below:

James Blake - "Retrograde"

Here is the official video for "Retrograde" the first single by James Blake off his upcoming sophomore record, Overgrown, due April 8.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra - "So Good at Being in Trouble"

Portland (via New Zealand) psych-rockers Unknown Mortal Orchestra have released a video for "So Good at Being in Trouble" to coincide with the release of their excellent sophomore record, II, which is out today via Jagjaguar.

The Knife - "Full of Fire"

It has been seven long years since the Knife released their now classic Silent Shout, however that will change on April 9 when they finally release their forth record, Shaking the Habitual. Pieces of information have been slowly leaking across the internet over the past few weeks (including the fact that this will be a double CD / triple LP coming in just shy of 100 minutes!!) and today we get the official video for the behemoth of a lead single, "Full of Fire".

The Men - "Electric"

Last year, Brooklyn rockers The Men broke through with their incendiary third album Open Your Heart. On March 5, the band will release the follow-up New Moon via Sacred Bones. That's the album art above (which strays from the standard Sacred Bones art work) and below you can hear the first single "Electric" which seems to pick up perfectly from where Open Your Heart finished.

Atoms for Peace - "Judge Jury and Executioner"

The official debut album from Thom Yorke led supergroup Atoms for Peace is called Amok and is set for release on February 25 in the UK and the following day here in the US. The latest single is called "Judge Jury and Executioner" and will be released on 12" vinyl along with the b-side "S.A.D." on March 19. Watch an accompanying video for the track below.

Widowspeak - "Ballad of the Golden Hour"

Widowspeak (my favorite Brooklyn band at the moment) has announced that they will release Almanac, the follow-up to their brilliant self-titled debut album, on January 22 via Captured Tracks. The album was produced by Kevin McMahon who also worked on Real Estate's Days and Titus Andonicus' The Monitor. Buke and Gase - "Blue Monday"

Brooklyn lo-fi folk punks Buke and Gase have released a cover of New Order's epic "Blue Monday" to benefit relief efforts in Red Hook, Brooklyn from Hurricane Sandy. Living in New York City for almost seven years now, I cannot begin to describe the events of the past week. It was unlike anything I've been through as a New Yorker and hopefully something that no one will have to live through again. Stay safe everyone!

Atoms for Peace - "What the Eyeballs Did"

Here's a new one from Thom Yorke and Co. (now known as Atoms for Peace) called "What the Eyeballs Did". It's the b-side to "Default" which they debuted a few months back and was premiered yesterday by Mary Anne Hobbs (you can here her talking at the end). As you would expect, Flea lays down a killer bass line.

Their new album is expected in early 2012.

Kanye West - "White Dress"

Hopefully you've heard that RZA is about to make his directorial debut with The Man With the Iron Fists and if not, well now you know. The awesome cast features Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu, RZA, was written by RZA and Eli Roth and produced by Quentin Tarantino. Damn! With a cast and crew like that, you'd imagine it would also have a killer soundtrack. You'd be correct. Check out Kanye's track "White Dress" which has been getting buzz all week thanks to the lyric "You like pina coladas / Gettin' caught in the rain / Or rocking flannels all summer like Kurt Cobain."

Atoms for Peace - "Default"

Atoms for Peace (you know, that band featuring Thom Yorke, Flea, and Nigel Godrich) dropped a new single today titled "Default". The track is available on iTunes now and will be released by XL Recordings on September 10. Stream it below via We All Want Someone.

Last Friday, three of the members of Pussy Riot were convicted of "hooliganism motivated by religious hatred and sentenced to two years in prison. In turn, the remaining members (who are still being hunted by the Russian police) released their newest single. The Guardian paired the song with a video montage which you can view above and below, you can read the translated lyrics.
