It's never easy to describe the kind of music Marcus Brown makes as Nourished by Time. The obvious route is to call it R&B, but it's not. There are elements of rock, dance, and pop that all swirl through his fascinating mix of music and his latest single, "9 2 5," further eschews one defined style. On this one, his second offering from his upcoming album The Passionate Ones, Brown engages in full-blown club music making the leap towards Techno and House beats that will surely have the crowd coming alive and giving it their all as he blasts away through this banger. While it may not be doing Brown any favors in coming closer to an established sound, but that's part of the track's brilliance. On "9 2 5" we're exposed to even more of his sonic range and we've never heard him throw down quite like this before as he pushes this party beat to the max. His vocals still hit with that cooled down croon, but the music swirls with a certain sparkle that invokes a new sense of joy and euphoria for one of his most accessible and instantly jammable songs to date.
