Fine - "Run"

Fine has shared "Run," her second new single of 2025.

Last year, Danish avant-pop artist Fine dropped her debut album Rocky Top Ballads (and it was one of the best of 2024). The record was a lush blend of distilled dream-pop and down-tempo trip-hop that made for a smokey, sultry affair of ethereal music. Earlier this year, she returned with a new single called "I Could" and today she's followed it up with another swirling new gem called "Run." Channeling more of the laid-back '90s vibes of psychedelic folk-pop mixed with woozy beats and warped melodies, it's a dizzying tune that reveals more of her distilled sparkle as she moves towards some of her biggest sounds yet. After having written some tracks with fellow Dane Erika de Casier for the K-Pop group NewJeans and collaborating with Astrid Sonne on their project Coined, there should be no surprise at the skill level on display here and it feels like she's only beginning to crack open all of the talent she holds inside. It also should come as no surprise that all three attended the same music conservatory in Denmark given their stylistic similarities and shared abilities to create immaculate grooves. Written and produced on her own, however, "Run" is just the latest example of Fine coming into her own and finding her voice.
