Lorde - "Solar Power"

Lorde has returned! The singer has shared "Solar Power," her first new song since 2017.

After teasing a semi-NSFW image earlier in the week, Lorde is back with a brand new song! Over the past several years, Lorde's influence over pop music has seemed to skyrocket and now she has returned with an imaginative new track of her own. Swaying vocals distill over a strumming, acoustic rhythm that gives off plenty of sunny summer vibes. There is some serious bounce on this one and a slight Tribe Called Quest reference that helps to usher in her glorious return. It's hard to listen to this one and not immediately smile. With some assistance from Phoebe Bridgers and Clairo on backing vocals, drumming from former Pearl Jam and Soundgarden drummer Matt Chamberlain, and production from perhaps the most in-demand person in music as of late Jack Antonoff, it's a sweet return from one of the biggest names in pop!
