Chicago's instrumental metal trio Russian Circles have announced a new album and shared the crushing single "Empath."
There's a furious tenacity that grips "Empath," the new single from the upcoming album by post-metal heavy hitters Russian Circles. Today, the band announced their ninth album, unsurprisingly called Nine, and shared the bruising new song that swings for the fences with its brutal blast of seething guitar that roars with a menacing bite as thunderous drums and sludgy bass give the song a smoldering intensity. It's a surging track that strikes with a mighty power and hits like a sledgehammer, its unforgiving rage chugging along like the revving engine of a jumbo jet. There's a punishing element that runs throughout as the band charges ahead full speed, totally in command, as they clobber away with sinister force.
Nine is out August 28.
