I say this regularly, but we are living through an era of some extraordinary new music and Q3 of 2023 proved to be another stellar period of new tunes; September in particular gave us an onslaught from the likes of Slowdive, Olivia Rodrigo, Armand Hammer, Animal Collective, Romy, Vagabon, Chappell Roan, Wilco, and tons more including an incredible reissue of a 1977 Pharoah Sanders album with an additional live record. Whether it's pop, rock, hip-hop, ambient, techno, metal, or jazz, we've been treated to an incredible wealth of some of the year's best tunes all of which helped soundtrack the summer.
