A few weeks ago, Ben Guterl of the band Forth Wanderers and Dan Howard of the band Victoryland announced a new band called Billboard Style and shared their first track in addition to details around their upcoming debut album. Today, they dropped the second single from their new project and it's another excellent slice of bonafide rock and roll that fits nicely in the sweet spot of their other groups. The two-minute jam is inspired by Guterl's former long-distance relationship and he shared the following:
My girlfriend and I were long distance for 4 years. We stayed together and I missed her terribly. There’s times while you’re apart for that long when you really ask yourself why you’re putting up with the misery of it all and I wrote this during one of those times. The song came out of the misery but I think I was also in awe of love’s capacity to both cause pain and provide you with the strength to endure it. I used a listicle about what questions you should ask someone on a first date for a lot of those lines.
This fuzzy track is another excellent introduction to the new band and one that raises the hype to a level of excitement and intrigue for what's coming our way.
