The Reds, Pinks and Purples - "Houses"

Glenn Donaldson has shared the third single from the upcoming album from The Reds, Pinks and Purples.

In six years, Glenn Donaldson wrote over 200 songs and released nine albums so it makes sense that he'd finally slow things down. Slow, however, doesn't have the same meaning for his band The Reds, Pinks and Purples as it does for other folks it seems. Last year he put out the album The Past is a Garden I Never Fled and now, eight months later, he's got a new one on deck. Acknowledge Kindness will be the latest in his growing discography and his attempt at his biggest sounding record yet. "Houses," the newest single, furthers his widescreen approach towards the swelling sounds of bands like The Cure with soothing acoustic guitar and aching melodies that burst with subtle hints of dreamy '90s nostalgia. It's still melancholic, breezy, and intimate, but this go around, the windows and doors to his bedroom pop style are blown open and things are more expansive, lively, and they blossom just like the flowers on one of his many album covers.

Acknowledge Kindness is out April 24.
