Jack White - "G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs" / "Derecho Demonico"

Jack White has shared two new singles ahead of his upcoming appearance on Saturday Night Live.

In 2024, Jack White dropped the album No Name without warning and almost in secret. The record was first available as a free handout to customers who shopped at his Third Man Records store in Nashville before making its way to select independent record stores. Eventually, it was given a proper, widespread release and it was clear that White had resurrected the magic that made his music so righteous in the first place. After a few album that didn't really hit with the same blistering heat as his early solo work or in any of his various bands, it seemed as if he'd perhaps run of the juice and would fade into a standard, middle of the road rocker. Luckily, that was not the case and his two new songs confirm that he's still locked in to whatever helped him reboot. These are both scuzzy, searing blues rock tunes that surge with an ignited passion, scorching the earth and everything they come in touch with along the way. His wicked howl is as dominant as ever and, as expected, he shreds with a divine power that reminds you time and again that yes, he really is that damn good.
