Hear a new song from Militarie Gun featuring a guest spot from Mannequin Pussy's Missy Dabice on vocals.
I'll be the first to admin that I don't love a "deluxe edition" of an album. Especially when it comes out in relatively quick succession as the album itself (just put all of the songs on it in the first place, don't make my buy it twice when those songs were intentionally left off). I do, however, kind of love the semi-hardcore band Militarie Gun and their sorta peers Mannequin Pussy so when I saw the news of a new collaboration between the two appearing on the deluxe edition of Militarie Gun's God Save the Gun (only released last year!!), I put my other feelings aside. "World's Always Burning" is a great song that finds Militarie Gun leaning more into the '90s alt-rock vibes they explored on their last album and softens up the band's edges without dulling their sound. Mannequin Pussy's Missy Dabice comes in towards the end and her vocal's add some new textures and the combo of her voice with Ian Shelton's is actually pretty great.
God Save the Gun (Deluxe) is out August 7.
