It's been five years since Bill Orcutt recorded Music for Four Guitars, an amazing album of layered guitar jams that ring with stunning purpose. Now he's back with another four guitar LP called Music in Continuous Motion which he'll bring to life next month as part of his label Palilalia Records weekend-long marathon in New York City. On the recording, Bill plays all of the guitar parts himself and layers them on top of each other for something really special. Today he's gifted us two tracks from the new album, "Giving unknown origin" and "Unexpectedly heavy." They're both righteous jams that continue his streak and fevered guitar work that lacerates and thrashes with intense bravado, resembling sneering post-punk, but without the foundation of a rhythm section. Please never stop, Bill.
Music in Continuous Motion is out March 13.
