Next month, Blue Lake will release the new album
The Animal and today we get the third and final single, "Flowers for David."
Jason Dungan makes ethereal jazz-adjacent music under the moniker Blue Lake and after delivering the excellent EP Weft earlier this year, he'll drop his newest full-length in October. Following two previous singles, Dungan dropped the latest on us today, and it's a sprawling, glistening track that vibrates with serene energy while serving as a tribute to a friend who has passed away. The vibrations are stirring and the full-band swells with passion as they come together on this moving track that's rich in textures and buzzes with shimmering grace. When speaking of his friend, Dungan recalls the person's deep and intense love of music and it's clear that the passion carries on through the track.
The Animal is out October 3.
