Yr Knives have shared the second single from their upcoming debut album Begin Yr Singing.
As rough, tumbling drums begin to crash into one another, frantic guitar strokes enter the mix before the cacophony fuses together for some surging, and satisfying jams that lean heavily into bluesy rock and roll. The instrumental group known as Yr Knives are set to release their debut album at the end of October and their second single is a barn-storming force of ragged glory. This blown-out track features a lot of low-end guitar action from Andrew Trim and Brian J Sulpizio, the founders of the project, and is met with sturdy bass from Douglas McCombs (who has already had a stellar year playing on releases from Pullman, Black Duck, and Basic), and is rounded out by drummer Quin Kirchner. Together the group muster up some pretty bodacious grooves and bring out the heavier side of post-rock with massive, kick-ass sound.
Begin Yr Singing is out October 30.
