Joshua Idehen - "Turn it Around"

Ahead of his album out this Friday, Joshua Idehen has shared one more single, "Turn it Around."

Joshua Idehen had a near viral hit (for select few) in 2024 with his spoken word epic "Mum Does the Washing" and also gained some popularity when he added vocals to Sons of Kemet's 2018 record Your Queen is a Reptile. On Friday March 6, he'll drop his new album I Know You’re Hurting, Everyone Is Hurting, Everyone Is Trying, You Have Got To Try and we've been gifted one more preview of what is shaping up to be one of the year's most promising and intriguing releases. Buoyant piano riffs add sparkle to his dance-ready electronic jams all while his continued spoken-word flow holds the center. It's club music with a message, songs that don't deny the horrors that seem to be unfolding on a daily basis, but he pushes through these unimaginable tragedies with hope and inspiration. This is dance music that lifts the spirit while still grappling with our current realities. He doesn't hide from the monstrosities that are not constant news flashes, but rather encourages us all to still find the joy and push through towards the light. "No matter how far you fall, there's always a way to turn it around" Amanda Bergman chimes in with her velvety vocals, helping to urge the desire to find the positivity while Idehen acknowledges that it's not always easy, but when we stop trying, that's when we really lose.

I Know You’re Hurting, Everyone Is Hurting, Everyone Is Trying, You Have Got To Try is out March 6.
