If you listen to Floating Points, chances are you know him most for his dance-heavy electronic music. He's played a lot with peers like Jamie xx and Four Tet and he puts on an impressive, visually-heavy, live set that will have you raving until the wee hours of the morning. However, if you don't know that Floating Points also released a phenomenal album called Promises with jazz legend Pharoah Sanders, I highly suggest you give that a listen. Today, Floating Points shared a new song called "Corner of My Eye" and it's certainly not what you'd expect if you're planing to dance hard and all night long. However, this isn't the same ambient jazz that he made with Sanders. This track has live groovy, live percussion and some dreamy vibraphone action that makes things sound endlessly chill. This is a divine track that will lift your headspace into a cosmic realm rather than the depths of the dance floor, but more so it highlights the range of Floating Points and showcases that you never know what he'll drop next.
