Pussy Riot - "Don't Cry Genocide"

Those of you (us) who spent the weekend binge watching Netflix's "House of Cards" saw the debut of Pussy Riot's new video "Don't Cry Genocide".

On the show, the band attended a formal dinner at the White House when the fictitious Russian President Viktor Petrov (a clear jab at Vladimir Putin) paid a visit to Frank Underwood. The scene ended when the band made an exclamatory speech regarding the leader and the episode concluded with the band's new video as the credits scrolled (via Revolt).

Music aside for a moment, the show did a great job highlighting gay rights (or lack thereof) in present day Russia and happened to premier when Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov was assassinated in Moscow. An eerie coincidence, for sure.
