Hotline TNT - "Candle"

The second single from the new Hotline TNT album is called "Candle" and it's absolutely lit.

Hotline TNT are often thrown into the shoegaze revival mix and while it's not unwarranted, it's important to clarify that they sound more in line with likes of Ride than My Bloody Valentine. Hotline can create huge bursts of guitar that swell with a near pop perfection, ripping into huge choruses that hit like a tidal wave. Their vocals are also prominently in the mix and you could easily drawn comparisons to alt-rock and Britpop in addition to the heavier sounds in which they're typically included. "Candle," the second single from their upcoming album, Raspberry Moon, is a great example of them bringing their ragged and fuzzy guitars into a more melodic mix with a bit of cleaner sound that still doesn't hold back on their power, but makes for a more inviting setting than one might imagine. It was the first song the band wrote for the new album and came together quite seamlessly according to vocalist Will Anderson, flowing naturally from their collective conscious and gelling into a complete and luscious.

Raspberry Moon is out June 20.
