Shabazz Palaces - "Tongue in Chic"

Shabazz Palaces have dropped the third single, "Tongue in Chic," from the upcoming record It's a Style Sport.

Ishmael Butler's space-rap project Shabazz Palaces have been cooking up some of the most intergalactic hip-hop for over a decade and each time he beams back down to Earth with a new release, all you can expect is something far reaching and abstract. "Tongue in Chic," the third single from the upcoming album It's a Style Sport takes a punching synth line and adds in some '80s funk, almost like you'd expect from a Prince song, to give the track a slick, rhythmic groove that has some serious bounce. Flashy guitar and a pumped up beat bring in some Ital disco elements as well proving you never know where Butler will draw inspiration from and how he'll present it through his own slick style.

It's a Style Sport is out October 23.
