In 2023, the shoegaze band Drop Nineteens released their first album in about three decades. Now, it looks like the follow-up won't take as long. Today the band shared a new song called "Fools" and its a lot heavier than anything we heard on their reunion album and perhaps a sign of where their new album may take us. The fuzz is turned way up on this one and it heads much more into Loveless territory with buzzsaw guitars ripping through the track. Mixed by Chris MacLaughlin (who's worked with Kendrick, Beyoncé, and Ye) nailed this one and the sinister, seething grooves are loud and up front which gives this track a real edge and pushes them towards something massive.
